Another essential tip when writing the Ketubah is the word v’kanina (וקנינא). It means, “we have completed the act of acquisition.”
Make sure that the printed Ketubah does not include the leg in the letter kuf in this word. The Rabbi must complete the kuf himself, in order for the Ketubah to be valid and binding.
